Honey Joys Recipe

Australians are fond of honey. Honey is used in sweet and savory recipes. We use it to glaze our Christmas Ham, marinate Chicken Wings (with soy sauce), and order honey prawns or honey chicken in the local Chinese Australian restaurant. The invention of honey joy is Australia’s greatest tribute to honey. It was only a question of time until someone noticed a flame in the same cupboard as cornflakes and made the connection. It needs to be clarified who did it, but we are grateful. Honey joy is now a symbol of happy children’s parties. Taste.com.au has the most popular recipe for honey joy. This is the real deal, with no frills or extras—the road map for glorious little honeyed crispy bundles.

Ingredients

Method Steps

Cornflakes, 4 1/2 cups

120g Devondale Unsalted Butter, chopped

1 1/2 tbsp honey

1/4 cup caster Sugar

Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Line a 12-hole, 34-cup capacity muffin pan using paper cases.

Place cornflakes into a large, heat-resistant bowl.

Butter, honey, and sugar are in a small pan over low heat. Stir until the butter melts and the mixture is smooth. Add to cornflakes. Mix well. Mix well.
